Corporate Social Responsibility

Delaware North is committed to being a responsible corporate citizen and is currently expanding our community commitment through a comprehensive Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy concentrated in three areas: environment, health and well-being and community support.

The environment
Delaware North Companies Australia has a sustainability action plan that will lead our company to best-practice environmental management in Australia through our company's Environmental Management System (EMS), referred to as GreenPath ®.

Our EMS focuses on protecting, conserving and restoring out natural resources. The company is enthusiastically and aggressively seeking ways to improve environmental performance in all of our operations. We are focusing on the total environmental impacts of our sites, including water and energy use, packaging, waste, food miles and other sustainability touch points - any areas Delaware North Companies can control and influence to reduce our carbon footprint.

Culinary wellbeing
Culinary wellbeing Delaware North is committed to providing our customers and our client's healthy eating choices. The essence of the Culinary Wellbeing™ program is a belief in the nutritional value and great taste of fresh simply prepared, in-season, local ingredients. These menu options offer genuine reduced levels of fat, salt and sugar, while improving fibre and wholegrain content.

Our Culinary Wellbeing™ initiative in the corporate hospitality area offers consumers lighter, healthier options at our stadiums. We also partner with the Heart Foundation to provide Tick approved sandwiches, salads and soups across our retail outlets.

Community support
We work extensively with a number of charities and tailor our corporate assistance to be far more than just financial. Graphic design and printing support, food preparation, legal advice and concert tickets for fund-raising auctions for staff/client rewards are just a few examples. We concentrate on developing communities through partnerships, educational support, youth and migrant training and biodiversity programs.

We track our CSR progress using the Global Reporting Index which provides us with a comprehensive framework that helps us assess and track our economic, social and environmental performance.
